Supervision of Manama International Airport expansion works in Bahrain
ADP Ingénierie (ADPI) supervised the design of this expansion and therefore understands the project completely.
The client needed to increase airport capacity and also improve passenger experience.
- The client needed to increase passenger capacity as the existing terminal was saturated. The client initially considered expanding the terminal.
- The client wanted to take advantage of this project to improve passenger experience by upgrading terminal services to IATA Standard B requirements.
- The client requested that the terminal design be adjusted to new operational requirements during the construction phase.
ADP Ingénierie (ADPI) recommended building a totally new 14 MPPA passenger terminal building rather than undertaking the refurbishment and expansion while in service of an existing saturated facility. The client approved our proposal. ADP Ingénierie is responsible for the studies and the design up to the shop drawings of the passenger terminal building, its ancillary facilities, viaduct, access roads, landside and airside infrastructure, including the technical and financial assistance during the tender phase of the various technical packages assigned to our company, and the supervision of all related works.
