Context

To respond to the changing standards for the baggage handling system, Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport needs to upgrade its baggage handling facilities in Terminal 2D to integrate Standard 3 explosive detection and control equipment, in accordance with European and French regulations for screening hold baggage.

  • Paris-Aéroport needs  to redesign the baggage handling system in Terminal 2D, scheduled as part of the transition to STD3 at its facilities.
  • The transition to Standard 3 must be part of a terminal refurbishment program.
  • The client expects to be able to continue to use half of its check-in capacity during the work.
  • The client has requested a feasibility study for the work and an estimate of the associated costs to be able to present the documentation to launch the project.

Our solution

We proposed the feasibility study of various solutions, carried out macroscopic studies of the phasing of the work and estimated the costs.
