Hong-Kong International Airport
Capacity's enhancement of Hong-Kong International Airport Terminal 1
Added value
The added value of ADP Ingénierie, and keys to the success of the project were its expertise in Special Airport Systems and a good understanding of airport extension specificities: Operations, Maintenance, Integration
Context
HKIA (Hong Kong International Airport) had to extend the existing T1 to meet the increasing demand and maintain the appropriate service standards for 2022.
The T1 core processing and passenger facilities needed to be expanded. The following main facilities were included in the extension : a Check In island of 48 reversible traditional Check In counters or self-bag drops; an EBS (Early Baggage Storage) of 2000 storage positions, two reclaim belts, and some airport services such as baggage or lost and found services.
Our solution
The scope of service of ADP Ingénierie was the following:
- Scheme Design realized in 2015
- Detailed design realized in 2016
ADP Ingénierie was also responsible of the Passenger Simulation, Airport Systems (ICT-ELV) and BHS Systems and produced the complete scope of service under a BIM environment.
