Back up approach & training center (buatc) for New Doha International Airport.
After the proposal of three architectural designs, ADP Ingénierie (ADPI) developed the concept selected in coordination with NDIA and QCAA: the glass facades make use of the shadows and the light and the space above the windows emphasizes the curves of the roof. ADPI has therefore contributed to the creation of the technical building, an architectural touch and a particular feature that is in keeping with all the buildings in the airport zone. Moreover, ADPI's technical teams organized the interior working spaces to fulfill the technical requirements of such a building as effectively as possible.
The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) is keen to ensure the high standard of its services both in terms of the training of its staff as well as flight safety and has therefore decided to construct a special separate building on the airport zone of the New Doha International Airport. This building has a simulator room as well as classrooms, a conference room, gyms and all the necessary facilities for running high quality training courses, an air traffic control room with related ATC equipment, that can replace at any time the entire main approach centre, if the latter should be closed for whatever reason.
ADPI's specialized teams specified all the ATC equipment and incorporated them into the general architecture of the existing systems.
All the architectural studies and technical specifications will lead to tenders for the construction works that ADPI is to manage and supervise.
