Context

With the financing of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Government hired ADP Ingénierie to assist the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal – CAAN to explore ways to increase the capacity of Tribhuvan International Airport and improve its security. The main objective of the consulting services of ADP Ingénierie's consulting services was to review TIA master plan (2010-2028), to carry out detail and design studies, to prepare invitations to tender and to assist CAAN in undertaking public-private partnership project (PPP) in the air transport sector.

Our solution

The scope of works of ADP Ingénierie included the following components:

  • Review of TIA Master Plan
  • Preliminary Design Study
  • Detail Study
  • Assistance to CAAN to undertake public-private partnership project (PPP)

Preliminary Design and Detail Studies cover the following disciplines:

  • The Architecture, Interior design and Structure, including the following buildings: the New International Terminal Building (ITB), The new VVIP building, the Nepal Army Hangar, the Nepal Airlines hangar, the Cargo building extension, the Army complex
  • The Mechanical, Plumbing and Fire Protection for all buildings above-mentioned
  • The Baggage Handling System (BHS) and the Passenger Boarding Bridges (PBB) for the new ITB above-mentioned
  • The Landscape
  • The airside infrastructures (aprons, taxiways)
  • The landside infrastructures (roads and carpark),
  • The Utilities,
  • The Electricity including: Power supply and buildings distribution, 400Hz for the new ITB, Visual Docking Guidance System, Visual Aids and Apron Floodlighting
  • The IT/ELV systems
  • The CNS/ ATM Equipment
