The development of the Muscat International Airport has been awarded

The project of Muscat International Airport development has been awarded by The Big Project Middle East Awards of Excellence in November 2018.

During the annual gala dinner, the Infrastructure Project of the Year highlighted the ambition and the quality of the new passenger terminal project. With 29 aircraft stands, it will welcome in time 20 Mpax each year. This new terminal was inaugurated on November 10, 2018 during a ceremony our CEO Gratien Maire and our team located in Muscat attended.

Indeed, ADP Ingénierie has been supporting the Oman airport authorities since 2007. Our company has been awarded the project management and supervision of this project but also the development of the Salalah airport and three other regional airport. 

Concerning Muscat, the important ADP Ingénierie team located in Muscat has also supervised the construction of 70 buildings including the new PTB (+450 000 sqp) nut also the new 4-kilometer long runway (2014), the new control tower and 2 datacenters (2014 and 2016), the new cargo facilities (2018, 350 000 t), the aircraft maintenance and the onboard catering building (planned for 2019).

The new PTB opened in March 2018. The "Big bang approach" allowed moving complete operation (OAMC, Oman Air, ground handler, police) from old terminal to new terminal in less than 2 hours. Opening was supervised by ADP Ingénierie from the new Emergency Control Center opened 24/7 the previous week for this occasion.

Regarding Salalah, as a reminder, ADP Ingénierie supervised the construction of a new terminal, opened in 2015 (2Mpax per year), a new runway (2015), the control tower, a cargo hangar (2018).
