A new contract has been formally signed by the Minister of Transportation and Telecom of Kingdom of Bahrain: ADP Ingénierie has been awarded the Design & Supervision Consultancy Services for Upgrading Airfield to Cat-IIIB at Bahrain International Airport.

This contract has been signed on Friday, November 16, 2018, in the framework of the Bahrain Air Show attended by ADP Ingénierie, jointly represented on the Pavilion presenting the Bahrain Airport Modernization project which has begun several years ago. ADP Ingénierie has been deeply involved in this modernization from the beginning for Bahrain Airport Company.

This new assignment consists mainly in upgrading the Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) of the runway and taxiways to a Category III b performance with the challenge of keeping the airport operational, over a period of 19 months. With this upgrade, flights will be able to operate safely under reduced visibility conditions avoiding unforeseen troubles and costs of flight diversions.

The project follows several contracts already awarded to ADP Ingénierie in the past years for the development of this airport and reinforces ADP Ingénierie presence in the country. It illustrates the trust placed in ADPI consulting, design and supervision expertise, and the quality of the relationship developed with the airport authorities of the kingdom.
