ADP Ingénierie is back in Egypt with the rehabilitation of T1 at Cairo International Airport

On the 7th October 2019, Cairo Airport Company (CAC) awarded ADP Ingénierie the rehabilitation of the Cairo International Airport Terminal 1. After several years of successful works in Egypt with the design of the ATC Tower in Cairo International Airport and the passenger terminal in Hurghada International Airport or with Management Support services, Groupe ADP is back to Egypt.

The Cairo International Airport (CAI) is the busiest International Airport in Egypt and second busiest airport in Africa. The Terminal 1, the oldest building of the airport originally constructed in 1963, has already seen various renovations over the years. Egypt welcomed nearly 9 million tourists in 2018. The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), has put Cairo on the list of the top cities, which are expecting to receive more tourists in the next decade. The Terminal 1, appreciated by the Egyptian citizen, is ready for further expansion and rehabilitation to meet the best international standards.
 
After an international tender process, the Chairman of CAI notified ADP Ingénierie and invited it to present three architectural concepts to the Minister of Civil Aviation. The Minister immediately validated the recommendation of the tender committee. ADP Ingénierie has received the LOA for the design and supervision contract for the rehabilitation and development of Cairo International Airport Terminal 1 from the hand of the Chairman of Cairo Airport Company (CAC).
 
With this first fast track project enabling the rebirth of Cairo International Airport, ADP Ingénierie forecasts a long-term partnership with Cairo Airport Company (CAC) and Egyptian Holding Company Airport and Air Navigation (EHCAAN) for further development of the aviation infrastructure of the country.
